Photoshoping

These don't really have a theme, but I have been playing in Photoshop and wanted to share some of the things I'm learning.

This first one is me learning how to make a little reflection under things. I've found it works best with 2 dimensional shapes like squares and circles etc, but here's what it looks like with a frog. (Frogs are much more interesting than circles or squares huh!)

On this next one... I took this photo at Temple Square then I did a tutorial that I found on the web that teaches you how to make things look like a watercolor painting. I decided not to leave it at that but to turn it into a crystal ball type thingy.




And finally, here's another thing I just learned how to do. This is an invisible dress. Kind of like Harry Potter's cloak of invisibility, but now in a wedding gown! lol.

buuut, in other photography news, i sold my little two-door car to get a camera and i am now the proud owner of a canon rebel xs and it is fanTAStic. it's pretty much the best :)

Sad attempt at self portrait & reflection

Well I was in the statue of Liberty and they had this window to look up into the statue so I was trying to take a picture of me taking a picture of the statue and this is what I came up with. Its grainy and not very awesome, but there it is!

OK I need a little help... I have not asked around but this thought popped into my head that I would like to get some pictures off my phone onto the computer. I would need a memory card for that right? and It is a bit of an older phone so will I be able to get a memory card for it? HEEELLLLPPPPP! :D thanks guys, I will ask around

Now these are all pictures that I just found on my computer, that I have taken in the past. Of course when I was taking these shots I wasnt thinking about the reflection... But I am wanting to try to go out and take some pics with reflection being my focus. So I am going to try and do that in the next few days. I am looking forward to it.

I wanted to get some examples out here for reflections. These are from my past photos. I will go out and get some that were taken with this assignment in mind.

This is Ground Zero in New York. Visiting was fairly reflective. There were some reflections in the rain water too.

I cannot wait to see what we come up with that is new and fresh and creative.
